Hannah is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). She received her bachelor of arts (psychology) from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and her master of science (mental health counseling) from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Some of Hannah’s work experience includes working with autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders (depressive and bipolar), trauma disorders, and psychotic disorders in a variety of settings. Hannah has worked in home settings, community mental health settings, and hospitals.
As a counselor, Hannah works collaboratively with individuals to identify and utilize strengths, values, and interests to bring forth positive changes in their lives. At the heart of Hannah’s therapeutic approach is person-centered therapy. Hannah believes an individual is an expert on themselves and can engender change. To facilitate this change, she works to create a safe, empathic environment for growth. Hannah also primarily pulls interventions from the following therapeutic orientations: Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and ACT. Ultimately, therapy is not one size fits all, so Hannah works with an individual to find what works for them.
