Karina is a Master level clinician who completed her Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College and has experience working in community settings, correctional facilities and in private practices. Her clientele consists of children, adolescents, young adults and adults with needs such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD, trauma, stress management and life transitions. Karina is fluent in Portuguese (Brasil) and has experience doing sessions in Portuguese.
Recognizing that no two people are alike, Karina hopes to join you on your journey by providing a safe and supportive space to process your experiences and emotions. She employs specific evidence-based techniques that are tailored to each individual’s needs, while collaboratively working towards healing, expanding on your strengths, and reaching your mental health goals. Karina utilizes a trauma-informed and person-centered approach that incorporates modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
